FUKUSHIMA PROJECT

Fukushima Institute of Surgical Technologies is scheduled for opening.

It is a research and development center unique from a global perspective for its specializing in surgical training, located in an ideal location 12 minutes on foot from the Shinkansen Exit of Fukushima Station, 96 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo.

It will pursue EBM's fields of specialty such as "development of surgical training," "quantitative assessment technique for surgical skills," and "development of surgical skill training curriculum," etc.
Seminars, etc. will also be held regularly, and your participation is welcome.

By fostering cooperation with academic societies and companies and subsequently increasing the circulating population of Fukushima, we are happy to contribute to the post-disaster restoration.

WETLAB, DRYLAB

We handle sponsoring, co-sponsoring and consignment. We would like those companies who have had difficulties in the past with Wetlab hands-on seminar preparation, cleanup and surgical instruments, etc., to make use of this facility.

We can meet your requirements on weekdays and weekends alike. Please make use of our facility just 13 minutes on foot from Fukushima Station.

We have a lineup of all necessary training items from BEAT, YOUCAN, and dedicated training sutures, etc. You are welcome to drop by. (A phone call ahead of time, even at short notice, would be appreciated.)

FAQ

QCan space be rented for companies and universities, etc. to hold surgical training or academic meetings?

Yes, it can. The surgical training room caters to Dry lab, Wet lab and normal seminars. In particular, you may either use our products or bring in your own products for the Wet lab. If you entrust us with time-consuming tasks such as defrosting and disposal, etc., operational costs will be reduced in holding a seminar.
QDo you cater to social gatherings and stand-up buffets?

By using the lobby space, social gatherings and conferences connected to the seminar may be held. Regarding food and drinks, by hiring a reputable local catering company, we will support the smooth running of your seminar.
QI would like to visit the facility and actually take part in surgical training.

You are welcome to do so. Training using BEAT and YOUCAN is also possible (consumable items available for a charge). Regular training courses for dry lab, etc. are also available, and we await visits from Japan and abroad. For details, please see the news column on our webpage.
QCan we tour the facilities?

Yes, we accept tours at any time, but please contact us first to arrange the schedule.
QCan BEAT and YOUCAN be purchased?

Yes, they can. Purchase of products and outlet items are also possible. Credit cards may be used for the purchase. YOUCAN and consumable items such as dedicated training sutures may be used right away.
QI would like my vascular anastomosis skill to be accessed.

Yes, assessment is possible. By making an appointment beforehand, quantitative assessment of vascular anastomosis skill using YOUCAN and BEAT may be carried out. Please contact us regarding the prices, etc. You may also see the Quantitative assessment page.
QI want to experience using the hemoscope. Can I actually use it?

Yes, demonstration equipment is available, so you may experience the usability of the dedicated blood flow analysis software hemoscope.
QA Wet lab was held, but I do not know the procurement source of organ models.
